Hi Folks,

vBulletin, our forum software provider has released yet another upgrade this one includes new password rules. If your password contains your user name you will be forced to change it once we upgrade. In order to give people time to read this and modify their password I'm holding off the upgrade until Saturday August 30.

Thank you,
Dan

Can't you ever leave well enough alone? :)

Thanks for the heads up.

At least we don't have to change our password here like I have to at work - which is every 30 days.

At least we don't have to change our password here like I have to at work - which is every 30 days. and the password cannot be the same as the other previous 24.

My dad at work always made his

jay01, next one jay02, jay03 haha. (jay is his name)

Tip: It is not because your IT is trying to be mean, when the IT creates your account they tick "Must change password upon next logon" that forces the password change. The way around it is to go to your IT and they can go in and permanently set yours. I learned this when I was in HS, I was in tight with the IT lady (go figure) and griped about it, she Remote Desktop Connected and set it for me. How nice :)

ok so whats new - they do that with any software...

no matter what password is on it they still want you to keep changing the password.

Upgrade completed. All in all 8 users had their passwords reset and emails were sent to them. :)
