Papa Deuce 01-16-2007, 01:47 AM Anybody have any experience with any of the HIGH OUTPUT bubble machines? And is the "bubble juice" pretty much standard?
Actually anything you want to relate to me as fas as bubble machines would be greatly appreciated.
PeteT 01-16-2007, 01:52 AM Lat time I bought bubble juice at Farralane - they acually were selling automotive leak detection fluid. They say it's the same as the commercial stuff.
Papa Deuce 01-16-2007, 01:55 AM Thanks, I think.... though I have no idea what automotive leak detection fluid is... or who Farralane is, but I will investigate! Thanks!

PeteT 01-16-2007, 02:14 AM I have one of these - was like $60 at farralane.com

but if I were doing the bubble parties - I think I would go for at least two units and maybe even go to this one:

or one that has a heater.

That's cool, but I want 2 smaller machines so I can place them at different areas. I'll probaly spend $250 - $300 for 2 of them.

I recommend a plastic bodied bubble machine. I used to use the metal ones myself for years, and it was an annual ritual to sand off the rust, primer and repaint it. Seemed like a lot of trouble for a $60 bubble machine.
A good friend is also the product designer for Chauvet, and I celebrated the day they changed their housings to plastic. Some will say it's not as durable as metal... well... don't stand on it! Under normal use they hold up BETTER because they don't rust.
We have the B-250 seen here:

and the B-550 (BIG DADDY) seen here:

You could get a couple B-550s and have LOTS of bubbles and still be within your budget. Plus both of these machines can be used with timer remotes, wireless remotes or DMX adaptors.

Seems like it would make sense to me.

Yep... thinking two of the big daddy's. I was at your site today. I just didn't order yet.
NLFX Pro 01-16-2007, 04:18 PM It does make a lot of sense... I would guess cost is the reason. I also wondered why not use an alloy or something that doesn't oxidize or rust. I'll pass that idea along to Barry, I'm having dinner with him Thursday night. :)

Papa Deuce 01-16-2007, 06:36 PM Just spoke with Ben... Bought 2 of the 550's and 2 remotes. And here is what I liked: He said if these don't do the job you expect, I'll buy them back!
Ok, so I am sure he can't always say and do that, but I like a guy who puts his reputation out there.
Plus, he's going to be helping a bunch of us out at MB in Vegas....
And guess what? He wasn't even the cheapest price, but I appreciate service. BTW, he wasn't much different than the cheapest price, though!
He also told me how NOT to waste money with this purchase, so, in essence he really WAS the cheapest.
jtnichol 01-16-2007, 06:53 PM Sure you don't want to look into the CITC Bubble Monster? Or the Bubble Max? I've been looking online for this bad boy....
the 550's will do fine...just watch out indoors! Slippery mess.
Heres the bubble monster

If I ever need it, it does look good!
Djcarolina 01-18-2007, 02:07 AM I have 2 of the big boys and they are far too much sometimes but absolutely fabulous products. I also have another friend in the industry that has had a pair for 7 years and they still work perfect. The only thing i will tell you is that the interior of the funnel where the bubbles come out will rust pretty fast. I've had mine for 4 years going into the 5th in feb. and around 04 i took the electronics out and had them sandblasted then repainted with a clearcoat varnish and since then, no problem. But yeah the kids love em and they make a great effect and these bad boys put out A LOT OF BUBBLES!

Ben is DA MAN ! Ive purchased several items from him. Not many folks as good to deal with. The guy even makes personal deliveries if you beg.
NLFX Pro 01-19-2007, 04:47 AM Thank you. We value our customers, and I'm glad you guys feel it!

BKSound 01-19-2007, 11:50 PM The only thing I can relate to you about bubble machines is make sure and take a mop and several towels with you. That stuff makes a horrible mess.
barry stamper 01-20-2007, 12:53 AM I was gonna ask don't they make the floor really slippery?
Papa Deuce 01-20-2007, 01:27 AM I was gonna ask don't they make the floor really slippery?
Most assuredly.....
That is why my kids parties will be held outside! :sqwink:
DJ_BreakZ 01-23-2007, 05:16 PM I use the Chauvet B-250 all the time.
For bubbles, if you go to you local CVS or $1 store, you can buy small 8oz bottles of bubbles that kids use. They come with the little bubble wand ... I found that these bubbles work the best and are the cheapest. If you do the math it's much cheaper then buying a gallon of "professional" bubble fluid. I buy 6 pack's of the bubble and then move the bubbles to an empty soda bottle for easier storage.
