Hey, what do you think of this plan?

We send E-mails to other local DJs, even the ones that have the opposing ideology, and invite them to this forum. We also, of course, show them the http://www.adjrevolution.com site.

The worst thing that can happen is: 1) we might get more members here; 2) as soon as certain members start being evil, we shoot them down.

Eh?

What do you think?

I think we should invite people who we feel would want to be on board first. Strength in numbers my friend, strength in numbers.

To paraphrase Groucho Marx:

"I wouldn't join any forum site that would have me as a member!"

:D

From the look of it, this site seems to be progressing well. New members are joining and, more importantly, are participating.

An old dog's humble opinion only: there should be an open DJ bbs forum that's not mainstream and industry politically motivated. I dunno about anyone else... but I can say that I have learned a great deal from so-called underground DJs and musicians. We are all wildcatters at heart. :)

And we don't have to worry about being censured because we don't care for the products that are promoted in banner ads.

For the record:

No one is gonna judge you based upon the equipment brand you work with. You'll not be slammed because you don't attend DJ conventions nor will you be subject to harrassement because you are not a member of an industry association.

All members may rest assured that they will be welcome here. :)

You have my word on that.

In response to today's raucus, I have a thought:

If WE are so bad, posting the ideologies with which we disagree, then why don't THEY post OUR ideologies to tell the world that THEY disagree with US?

Eh?

I'd rather hear why they disagree with us. Chances are it's because aDJR isn't all about the almighty buck.
