How do you manage your school work with your company? Any strategies you have? I'd like to hear some input on this topic.

How to juggle the business with school!DJ Dave 07-23-2006, 10:54 PM How do you manage your school work with your company? Any strategies you have? I'd like to hear some input on this topic. DJ Brian B 07-23-2006, 11:37 PM Dave, During the summer can do parties any day! Since I am under 16 I cannot drive. So my dad has to be out of work to take me to a gig but he can leave early from work. During the School Year I only work Friday Nights and Saturday Nights. I dont let my DJ'ing interfere with my Education. School comes first for me. -Brian DJ Dan 07-25-2006, 04:37 AM I'm a little older than you guys (22) but believe my school is more important. I quit school when I was younger because I had a full time job and at that time I'd rather make money then sit in school. But take it from someone who knows: Do the best you can in school! Don't let DJin' interfere with your education. That being said when I was in school, I worked for a mobile company a good 2 hours from my house once I got my license I worked nearly every weekend with him and made awesome money, I simply didn't work any nights where I had school the next day. Keep yourself on a schedule, when you get home from school; relax for a little bit then check up on business related stuff (email callbacks etc) afterwards have dinner than do your homework, study and stuff like that. Thanks Dan for giving advice! You will do great in the college you were accepted to! :) Travis B 08-08-2006, 02:46 PM Try finding time for DJing on the weekends when you have football. Pretty much all your fridays and saturdays are borked... I'm currently in two a days at school and end up working my current job (where i'm at now) while i'm on the break.. tough i know. DJ_BreakZ 08-15-2006, 01:45 AM School first! At this age with school and work, it will be a good learning experience for the future. Just make sure all school work is done before you DJ. DJing isn't for everyone. It could just be a hobby for you and you will need you education to get a good job. So keep up the grades! | |
