Director: Danny Clinch
Release: June
Watch Daughtry - Home! (http://www.ifilm.com/video/2844592)
Summary: Daughtry expresses their love and support of the fans in this video. Scene takes place on the road (tour bus) as well as a venue (rock concert). The video also shows love of the road family (production crew, band members, etc)
Pros: The load in shots (setting up, audio checks) really looks impressive, great way to film the drums (drums are the hardest instrument to film). The mixing of grainy shots along with smooth stedicam shots really works great. The Inteligent moving yokes adds a great touch too when the chorus revs up, however it is done every shot, lets get more creative here. Railroad shots always look very good on film. Moving jib shot on the end wraps the entire video together and successfully reinforces what I think the director and band is trying to convey (see summary).
Cons: As mentioned above, the intelligents going to the same preset gets real old and cheesy. More crew shots would be nice, maybe even shots of being interviewed at radio stations, etc for shot variation.
Grading 1-5:
Song Value: 3
Production Value: 4
Cinematography: 3
Acting: 2
Storyline: 3
Lighting: 3
Until Next Time, Keep Watching Music Vids!
