Fourth Of July Block Party.....

I did a Fourth of July block party yesterday.......outdoors.....Temperature 104*........Hot!!!!

I went through 10 Salt Tablets.....gallons of water

I have the Numark HDCD1 player, I noticed that in the sunlight I could not make out the screen......those of you who have the Denon are you having the same problem??

I had to guess at which category I had highlighted.....

Thank God for the back-up CD's.............

I just purchased the Denon, so I'm not sure but would like input on that too as I'm planning on a second unit for ceremonies and coctail hour.

Its time for people of our age to invest in an "EZ UP".

For a couple of hundred of bucks it will save our equipment and more so, the doctor bills. :sqcool:

I may be walking into something here, or just showing my ignorance but.......do you mean an umbrella,........if so I was under a patio, in the shade.

On bright days I don't think it makes a difference. I have seen some posts in the past, where some have complained about the same with the Denon??

Is their some way to change the lighting of the screen, with an add on or something similar.......... in the future.

I know I will not be counting on being able to see the screen outdoors unless, it's evening or an overcast day........

I purchased the Odyssey Flight case with the sliding laptop shelf which should shield my HD2500 screen if my laptop doesnt . If neither works I will build a removeable hood in my woodshop to shield it from any sun exposure or glare sort of like the laptop hoods available.

Would it be detachable? Meaning you would attach it if necessary? My problem is mine is in the Odyssey slanted Rack, it would be possible to attach something, but I'm not sure if you're outside in bright sunlight it will make a difference? I tried to shade it with large pieces of plywood....no luck
