DJ'ed at the swapmeet today from 9:30 to 3:30. Set-up was just a few minutes nothing big, just 2 eons. About 5,000 in attendance today. Was a fun gig overall. Played some oldies, rock, country, disco, and some hip-hop.

Later in the day DJ K-d came and hung out for a little bit. Overall it was a good gig just very hot outside today.

Here are the pics!

That rack rig just for a pair of Eons?:wtf:

Gosh, Brian... I was sorta hoping to see pics of you managing FOH and standing behind a soundboard that's bigger than you, lol. ;)

Sure hope it was worth six hours work at a flea market in the hot sun. Did they pay yas enough to buy a Happy Meal on the way home? :D

Got da shade!! cool,,,, and Fred if he is like me,,, I have one rig and it has all my stuff in it for whatever FOH I use,,,, sometimes it seems silly to bring it, but having it all there makes life easy,,,

and remember he is younger than us,,, his back is in better shape!!

Nice and Clean Brian... aloha

Nice work Brian.
I think his JBL's are passive. He uses the QSC to push them.

Chuck's right... we load it all, rack-wise whether we'll be needing it or not. There's our backup amp on site, right there in the case stack. :)

Thanks for the comments everyone! I noticed that a few asked about how much I got paid....Well another DJ who I know DJ's there every Saturday and Sunday and he had a wedding that day and he asked me for a favor and considering that I did his website (flash) and he sent me 2 gigs before soo I told him I could fill in for him and he said that they would display my website and I could pass out cards and make annoucements etc. advertising my services. I also got 2-3 leads and 1 of them I'm meeting with this week and my price is 1k for the gig (big!)...Overall It was worth it and I had lots of fun!

Brian, I wonder why you had such a generic message on the "marquee" in front of the stage. There may have been people who liked the tunes and might have contacted you about doing a gig for them but didn't want to come up to the stage. I would have at least put your business name or/and website on the board. Glad you had fun!

Funny you mention that.

I am making his website and I'm meeting with him today to show him the final. :)

Dan:
I had business card's stuck to the stage and on the sides but you cant see them in the picture.

... And in my humble opinion, that's the most important part.

Lookin' good Brian.

Brian:

JT noted your plug panel:

where did you get your plug and play panel? is it hard wired or connected?

Isn't that the one your dad made for you?

It looks like he did a great job. I'm thinking about going that route for my speakers; I'm just tired of plugging them in through the back and would like to just have the back for fans and not even open it unless I have to.

Correct. I went to prosound and bought maybe 10ft of Speakon Cable, 10ft of XLR Cable, 2 Speakon Surface Mounts, 2 XLR Surface Mounts and 1 power inlet and I got the 2u blank pannel. Then I gave it to my dad and he took it to work and drilled all the holes for me and then just added in the surface mounts to the blank pannel and then soddered everything and then it was done. It cost I think $60 total. There is a guy named carl who charges like $100 something for the same thing and plus he has some protection in the back and he uses pwoer con which is pretty cool and keeps it 1u.

Very nice work Brian. And, a nice setup. You really have taken the things you have learned at such a young age and used them. To many times I see the younger dj's wanting someone to do everything for them. Glad to see you get your hands dirty. Awesome!!

I just got a quote for 2U rack panel with everything to support my rig --- come to well over $250. Pretty salty, my opinion. So, I got online and have everything purchased and on the way. I'll do the labor and save $200.
