I am kind of dumbfounded that Canon made this a 10 megapixel camera when all the other players are poised to come out with 12 megapixel DSLR's soon!
Matter of fact, moments after Canon announced the 40D, Sony announced their new 12 megapixel CMOS chip that is slated for one of more of their new DSLR's that is to come out by the end of the year!
However, for the sports shooter, the 40D with 6.5 frames per second will be the leader in the mid-level DSLR catagory!
List price for the body only: $1299.99 US
