If you really want to set yourself apart from the other karaoke jocks out there then a great addition would be an investment in music videos! Yes, music videos.
What you do is start the regular karaoke track for the singer. As it's beginning you quickly load up the corresponding music video and synch it up with the karaoke track.
You let the karaoke track play and whenever there are instrumental portions of a song you can quickly slide ONLY your video fader over and display the music video portion of the song. Tehn right before the lyrics start up again you bring back the lyric screen.
Of course this is easier if you are running a digital show but it is a great idea to seperate yourself from the rest of the pack. Of course, this is only good if you have a screen or TV's displayed to the audience. lol
