Another excellent reception. Set up was strange...inside an unused bar which posed issues foe lights and sound. It all worked out though.....

Once again; the 310A's proved their worth. The 705AS was pounding. Great crowd as well.

LOL I love the weddings where there not all stuffy and just looking for a great time and you know what (nexgten1 looks around) I love to break out all the cheeze and watch them sweat. Hell I got super freak playing in the back ground at my house even now..

Hey bro don't feel bad down here in my area with alot of the kids the most requested songs are party like a rockstar and lean like a cholo. In fact it was so much fun I played it and got to watch a bride and groom who had never heard the song trying to lean like a cholo. But at that time the had gotten rid of the beer glasses and where just drinking pictures of beer in hand. They sad they had to finish the kegs.

Rankin Family Mull River Shuffle

I see you started playing this Steve how did it go over? It works real well here but I am in the middle of Rankin country. Do you cue it in or let it roll from the top?

A few other Rankin tunes I play occasionally

Lisa Brown
Mairis Wedding
Tell My Ma
Christy Campbell Set

Jeff - I normally don't play it. This was a special request for the groom and groomsmen. I always play "you feel the same"....I started it after the "intro", not from the top....I should play it and the other you listed more....Celtic is popular this way as well.....

I usually cue it in to the "Ladies and Gentlemen" part I find it makes it reconizable right away

If you want a list of good Celtic stuff let me know Ill post it for you

The Pogues did some interesting suff back in the day also although it's been a while since i've checked them out

A few others

Terry Kelly (http://www.terry-kelly.com/) Mary Mac (live) I was in the crowd the night this was recorded at the old Crow Pub in Sydney

Bobby Curry - Donald from Bras D'or. A great shanty song kind of like Barretts Privateers. Black around thier eyes is good too. http://www.bobbycurrie.ca/

The Barra McNeils ( http://www.barramacneils.com/ ) The banks of the roses is the only one I play by them but there are a few good ones

John Allan Cameron (http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=U1ARTU0000522) Considered the godfather of Celtic music. Again a few selections to play but I usually use Getting Dark Again

The Fables (http://www.thefables.com/) Heave Away. If this dosent get them going call the coroner

Howie MacDonald (http://members.shaw.ca/kimberleyw/canadacelticmusic/howiemacdonald/) Lots of great Jigs and Reels for squaredancing

Buddy MacMaster (http://www.atlanticartists.com/buddy/buddybio.html) Another celtic legend.

Great Big Sea (http://www.greatbigsea.com/) I use both The Old Black Rum and The Night Pat Murphy Died from tme to time
