I just booked a regular karaoke gig. It's only one Friday night a month, but hey, one gig will pay for my internet advertising for the month (winter's here are pretty slim gigwise).

Since most regular singers schedule their Karaoke night, you might try talking the owner into every Friday. This will give the singers the opportunity to make your venue their "regular friday" karaoke spot- good for the venue, good for you

How's it working out for you? I start a monthly gig in January. I'm hoping it goes well and they decide on a weekly gig instead.

So far so good. I've had some great nights. The owner wants to have me play more often. :sqbiggrin:

I've also talked her into having an 80s party. The crowd that typically comes in falls into the age group where an 80s party would be a huge success. We haven't settled on a date yet, but probably late Jan. or early Feb.
