Had a wedding last night and 30 minutes before end time the Mother of the bride comes up with a sealed envelope and hands it to me telling me what a great job I had done. Thanking me thanking me. I paid back the compliments and told her how great it was working for such a nice group etc.

Hmmm....a tip! A tip on a Sunday night, double bonus!
As I start to tear down I open the envelope (out of sight) and pull out a think stack of cash..a $50.00 (WOW!) another $50.00 and another and another and a $100! and another $100 and another and another! HOLY COW AN $800.00 TIP!

As I drive home I'm wondering what to do with this windfall - pay off a credit card? put it away for taxes? a new toy? Decisions decisions!

Then I realized that a couple of weeks ago my out of town (Boston) clients asked if they could pay the balance night of the event..I said yes if it's in cash.

The busy weekend (2 weddings with ceremonies) combined with a foot that is wreaking havoc with me made me forget about agreeing to be paid the night of...something I haven't done for years. O well, at least I got paid.

You sure your name was on the envelope and not the chair cover people?

(Chuckles only...very very nice windfall, Mark. Need a 4th L1?)

Hey Cap, nope don't need a 4th L1. The 3rd L1 works GREAT for ceremonies. The Saturday wedding I had to provide 4 mics and "plug in" a electric/acoustic guitar.
A simple 4 line mic mixer going into a Numark cdmix2 and the extra input on the Bose made it relatively simple. The live musicians and I traded off playing various parts of the ceremony music. The BEST part was that after the ceremony guests moved to an outdoor cocktail hour about 30 yards from the ceremony tent. I played cocktail hour music off a cheap-o mp3 player..I just set it on auto pilot and walked away to the club house where my main system was in place. The Bose with 1 B1 FILLED an acre with INCREDIBLE sound. I sat up in the second story balcony of the club house overlooking the cocktail hour patio, tent and golf course and was amazed with the sound...it really sounded live! I have to say this was the best I heard the Bose sound outside. 2 people came up asking how the entire area was filled with such great sound. I am wondering if using only the 1 b1 was the trick??? I have used 4 with not such great results.
