Driverack PA question

I finally took the plunge and ordered one of these units to replace the EQ that kept melting down and my old outboard crossover. I figured it would be nice to have one unit handle all of my processing needs. I have looked over the manual online and it doesnt seem too user friendly. Perhaps someone who owns one of these can tell me how to set the crossover for full range? I see they have settings to run the amps either low, med or high range seperately but I dont see a setting to run full range. I will be running one amp dedicated to sub signal only and the other 2 full. Any insight on working with this unit would be appreciated.

There is a preset already configured for full range. on the main screen dial into the preset that says 'Full Rage', it will blink "Not Loaded" Push the knob in and it will load the preset.

Low, Med, High are essentially just "outputs" When in the full rage preset, you will have all three outputs sending the same output across the board, unless you further tweak that profile's settings.

I believe "Full Range" is the 3rd setting. A number 3 will also appear in the lower left corner of the display.

One recommendation, I've been reading over time with the Driverack PA is to have it plugged into a battery powered backup to avoid damaging your speakers if there's a power failure. With the higher end DBX Driverack a problem like this doesn't seem to be a problem, just with the PA if the power goes out and it comes back on immediately you'll get a huge THUMP.

Doesn't matter what preset you have....

Once you have it loaded navigate through the crossover page. If you have a preset that has HML (high, mids, lows) then full range will appear as a flat line all the way across the top of the screen.

Thanks for the tips fellas.

Ben, question about the PL line of Furman products. Is there a functional difference (other than the meter) between the PL8 and the PL Plus? Im looking at upgrading from my M8L for better protection.

In terms of protection, no. The protection across the Series II products is the same, but substantially better than the Merit series. The "Pro" designation indicates that it is a 20 amp device, and also has a 20 amp NEMA plug on the cord. This doesn't really apply to your question, but figured I'd throw it out there for any others who might be reading this.
