Hey Everyone,

As I am trying to recuperate from my surgery I am getting some crank phone calls from a guy that calls himself DJ Robert from the Long Beach California area.

Apparently, he was trying to keep his number private, however, when you call my toll-free number it reveals the number no matter if its blocked or not.

The calls are coming from (562) 400-2865

He will call late at night, many times. When I call the number back it goes to his voicemail saying, "This is DJ Robert, please leave your....etc".

Does anyone know who he is?

Hey Lou, cool, you got a stalker :)

Try this:

Since you have his number, you can find his address. Ok?

Find some big, burly, nasty guy you hate, and get his phone number.
Use whatever excuse -- DJ, etc.

Block yer #, and call the big guy, and say "Hey Ass--hole", then hang up.

Do this every night for about a week or so. Eventually, the big guy will get really pissed, and start yelling at you. Hang up. Call back the next night, and antagonize him to no end. Tell him your name is Robert, and you think he's a gay fag.

He will ask where you are, so he can come kick yer ass. Give him the above address, and tell him come on down now pansy, and you'll kick HIS ass!

Call the cops, and tell them there is a disturbance at the above address ;)

Bring yer lawn chair, and a cold one.

Life is simple :)

Maybe it's the guy behind the computer in the 'fear-tactic' thread. :)

(Doesn't appear anyone enjoyed my stab in the dark at comedy. My apologies!)

LOL!!

My ex must've moved to Long Beach with that kook she married. :D

Lou, seriously, you have a case of phone harassement. As mentioned above I've had to deal with this before. Dunno how it works in CA but in VA, it's fairly straightforward.

When the person calls again, say "Do not call me again." Then you may hang up.

If you have to use the voicemail, leave a message telling the person not to call you again. Then contact the phone company to make a harassement report. There should be a number listed in the index pages of your phone directory. Have all the info at hand when you call. Then contact the local sheriff or appropriate law enforcement to file a harassement claim.

Telephone harassement is taken seriously. The law men will work with the phone company. Once the claim has been filed, the record of his calls to you will be made available to law enforcement.

Should this person call you again his days are numbered.

Fred I think your idea is a fine one and probably the most sensable one... however, Rick's idea sounds like more fun....

Or everyone on the board could call and leave a voicemail asking him to leave GroovieLou alone. But it's better to take the high road I guess and report it.
