mysoulishome 10-03-2007, 12:39 AM I am selling my Bose system. I absolutely love it and the sound is amazing but I have decided to sell it off because I'm not paying it off fast enough. Includes two PS1 power stands, 2 L1 radiators (sticks) 4 B1 bass bins, power cables, remotes, bass cables, original covers/bags, and original packing.
Everything works perfectly, with normal wear and tear. System has been used about 15 times between March and now. I prefer to sell to someone who will pick it all up locally (Southern California) because shipping will be a pain. Here are pictures of the set up at a wedding.
My phone number and email address are on my website or just contact me through the board.

Cap Capello 10-03-2007, 01:49 AM Aaron : What Model, Classic or Model 1? Were they purchased new or used? From whom? (those questions asked only for warranty continuation/transfer purposes and preset update purposes only.)
(Psst. No one told you how to change the B1 logos when stacked on top of each other?)
Sorry you have to give them up. Fear not. They won't last long.
mysoulishome 10-03-2007, 04:41 PM I purchased them new in March directly from Bose. Haven't updated any presets.
Not sure what model was being sold in March.
mysoulishome 10-03-2007, 05:08 PM I forgot to include the price. I'd like to get $3,500. I think that's fair considering the new systems cost $4,600 for the same thing.
Cap Capello 10-03-2007, 05:16 PM Model "Classic" with Preset Version 1 installed (NOTE: the panel collar where the B1s plug in is all BLACK):

Model "Classic" with Preset Version 2 installed (NOTE: the panel collar where the B1s plug in is all BLUE):

Model "1" with Preset Version 2 installed (Note: There are NO amp IN or OUT jacks):

The Model "2" does not have an I/O Panel, using the T1 (Tone Match Audio Engine) to perform all preset and I/O functions).
Chuck The DJ 10-03-2007, 08:19 PM Aaron,,,, I also have BOSE and I love mine, but I think you might have a hard time getting that price.... Used gear really isn't easy to sell,, when for another $1000 you can get them brand new, with financing and a cart and all that from BOSE.
I wish you good luck and have even passed your name onto a buddy in CA... aloha
kayleigh 10-06-2007, 04:20 AM If bought in March 2007 from Bose directly, I'd guess "Classic" v2
*SIGH* I wish I had money....
jtnichol 10-06-2007, 04:21 AM I really wish I could get into these for my gigs that call for this look. I like the Bose angle a lot.
Cap Capello 10-06-2007, 02:43 PM A new dual L1 quad B1 setup (which is actually two systems as BOSE considers 1 L1 and B1 as a "system") is $4,370.00. Add state sales everywhere except NH and OR who don't have sales tax. Overnight express shipping available from me at no extra charge.
It is important to remind existing BOSE users that the Classic is no longer made. It's also important to remember that the radiators of the Classic models ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE with the current Model I or Model II, or visa-versa.
Aaron, you may wish to consider selling each L1 and the associated B1s separately, and offer a combined price if bought as a dual system.
Classic owners. If he decided this might be a viable decision and you've been considering adding another one, though I'd be disappointed in not having your business, the Classics are no more and this might prove to be a golden opportunity to get system #3 from a very reliable source and also have a backup should something go amiss with system #1 and #2.
mysoulishome 10-06-2007, 05:16 PM Mine is the classic v2 with the blue bass module.
I would consider selling as two separate systems but would rather sell altogether. I have researched completed items on eBay and I expect that it would sell for $3,000 - $3,500 with no problem.
Cap Capello 10-06-2007, 05:40 PM Aaron: At the $3K figure, I may have them sold for you.
Steve Sharp 10-06-2007, 09:24 PM At a firm $3k, I might be interested, and I can pick them up.
Don Niles 10-08-2007, 02:08 AM I paid $3,200 last year for mine in a very similar deal..This was the Price Point that seemed to work both for me the buyer and the seller.
mysoulishome 10-11-2007, 04:46 AM
Steve Sharp 10-11-2007, 07:03 AM Bought :)
Now where can I get one of those gun cases?

Grats steve your going to love them have fun.
thatmusicguy 10-11-2007, 12:12 PM Steve I saw a couple of used ones for sale...perhaps at ProDJ.....
Cap Capello 10-11-2007, 02:52 PM Aaron: You're welcome.
Steve: Congratulations.
There are several makes and models of gun cases L1 owners are utilizing. The most popular is the 2SKB-5009, which is able to transport both top and bottom radiator, the wired remote, the wired remote cable, the B1 speaker cables, and the L1 power stand power cord. Do a search on 2SKB5009 [2SKB-5009] for best pricing. You will need two gun cases, one for each set of radiators. There is a case someone is using that holds all four however that means about 62 lbs of radiator weight plus the case weight. A bit too heavy methinks.
Make sure you save your BOSE cardboard shipping boxes. You will need the foam inserts from the radiator boxes to facilitate a quick and easy gun case modification.
thatmusicguy 10-11-2007, 05:07 PM Speaking of the L1......My local Long and McQuade broght in 2 L1's with two B1's.....with the tone match system. They were sold the day they arrived. Staff was very impressed with them......They are getting more in......
mysoulishome 10-11-2007, 06:11 PM I still have the original shipping boxes, Steve be sure to let me know if you need them. I'll hold on to them for now.
And thank you very much Cap :)
Steve Sharp 10-11-2007, 08:44 PM Thanks Aaron, I appreciate it.
I hope to investigate gun cases after the weekend, and may have to drive out there once more.

nextgen1 10-12-2007, 12:41 PM Alright Cap you must stop posting photos of your stuff. My wife is really starting to dislike you. Every time I see your stuff I start getting Bose envy. And that means $$$ to her. :sqwink:
Cap Capello 10-12-2007, 10:07 PM Nextgen1 : I can give you the address and phone number of The National BOSE Owners Wives and Husbands Support Group for your wife.
It's growing everyday. My wife is the charter member and founding director. She opens every meeting with her real life confession..."I told him to buy them."

Hi guys, I also have the cases that Cap uses. They are exellent, bought mine from Cabela's, paid a little more but there still worth every penny.

Awesome.... but no prices listed that I can see.
DJ Dan 11-15-2007, 06:21 AM Papa you gotta go to a distributors website to get prices... often promo websites are just that......promo websites with no substance other than features.
Jon Tuck 11-15-2007, 05:33 PM awesome Dave. Did Momma let you buy them? To relieve your GAS pains?
