Sony BMG Says Ripping CDs is StealingDougF 10-03-2007, 04:10 PM http://slashdot.org/articles/07/10/03/1221213.shtml Jon Tuck 10-03-2007, 04:20 PM I guess Sony doesnt think twice about stealing a space of folks computers when they implant spyware. GoodKnightDJ 10-03-2007, 05:44 PM I guess somebody should tell Sony about all the devices Sony produces that allow this stealing to occur I love that quote.:sqlaugh::sqlaugh::sqlaugh::sqlaugh: :BangHead: DJ SVO 10-03-2007, 06:03 PM Let's see: Sony sells CD-R CD-RW DVD-R DVD-RW Cassette's Tape Recorders VCR's Videocassettes Computers etc. Some people should have their mouths stitched so they cannot talk and prove their own double standard. DJ Scottie 10-03-2007, 06:12 PM If they dont want us to RIP them.... why dont they just sell the music to us in a FORMAT that we can use??????? jokerswild 10-03-2007, 06:46 PM If they dont want us to RIP them.... why dont they just sell the music to us in a FORMAT that we can use??????? Because we are all pirates and therefore will just make the music available to more pirates.... or we'll get together in a collective and download everything and share with one another while only paying for one copy..... didn't you know all DJs pirate and all DJs are pirates....:sqwink: DJ Scottie 10-03-2007, 10:00 PM Because we are all pirates and therefore will just make the music available to more pirates.... or we'll get together in a collective and download everything and share with one another while only paying for one copy..... didn't you know all DJs pirate and all DJs are pirates....:sqwink: Oh ya... like we are their largest fear.... Have they even bothered to look into any middle, junior, or high school recently????????? I would imagine that in any of the above given schoolS there is MORE illegally shared music then in our ENTIRE industry in North America! Oh well.... It’s a good thing we don’t promote their artists.... Oh wait, we do!... Why aren’t we getting their music in OUR desired format... for FREE?????? :sqerr: DJ SVO 10-03-2007, 10:14 PM Why aren’t we getting their music in OUR desired format... for FREE?????? :sqerr: Because the companies are GREEDY, a DJ plays the music and promotes what's hot. These greedy SOB's don't realize that it's not only the radio that promotes the songs, it's the DJ at the parties. All this BS that one copy is stealing even if it's for personal use is just sad. Brian Martin 10-04-2007, 12:42 AM These people are insane. They do everything they can to promote illegal activity. If I buy a song, I'm going to do what I want with it. Fair use in my book. Have cake... expect to eat it. Kirby Ball 10-04-2007, 03:30 AM I just made a copy of the article, I guess I'll be in big trouble now! :sqembarrassed: Fred Stewart 10-04-2007, 07:07 AM Coming from Sony, that's rich. Sony was at the forefront of the "copy battles" with their marketing of the Betamax videotape machines in the mid '70s. Now that they're aboard the music bandwagon, all that is supposed to change? This has nothing to do with what's right or what's wrong. It's all about stock price. | |
