I posted a while back that one of my EONS had lost about 30-50 % of it's power and the treble, (Highs) were awful.
Well know there is nothing coming out of the speaker at all........??
Before I take it in for repair, I want to have some idea as to what to expect, I don't want to be taken advantage of by the dealer...........
Any Idea's??

Is the speaker still under warranty?

No..........it was bought about 7 years ago and probably has 75 hours max on it, as I have 4 JBL's that I rotate.

Not a good situation, that's for sure. Take it to an authorized JBL Service Center. Not all dealers are Service Centers and this is important to know.

the way it went down was strange .......at first a loss of power about 30%, then the Highs went bad, and today .....no sound at all.............??

Jim,
Get an estimate of the cost of repair then weigh it against the cost of replacement. :)

So Jim if it were under Warranty Travis was probably going to have you have them honor it. JBL that is.

Jeff thanks for saying it amongst all the technical guys here I didnt have the heart to share my unschooled opinion but yes it sounds like the amp died a slow death.
