Floor fillers for parties.

It seems like when I throw on a Beyonce track all of the chicks in the room hit the dance floor. Not only Beyonce. Usher, Justin Timberlake, R Kelly and Jay Z tracks always get the gigs jumping. MJ also.

The closer a song is to the top of the list, the more likely it will fill the dancefloor at ANY of my parties.

Another floor filler at last nights gig was SexyBack.

The floor filled last night with Rod Stewart's cover of I Only Have Eyes For You.

Then there was Frankie Valli & The 4 Seasons, Bobby Vinton, The Platters...

They got down to MJ's Thriller and Billie Jean. Then they really got down to James Brown's Get Up Offa That Thing. :D

It depends upon the crowd. :)

Many of the same songs work for me. Two songs that always pack the floor for me are:

Party Up - DMX
Oochie Wally - Nas & QB's Finest

These probably wouldn't appropriate for a wedding but I do bars.. That kind of "explictness" is often welcomed. :)

Other songs that go over well..

That almost always results in a train for me.

A lot of the early 90's dance/houseish stuff goes over well in my neck of the woods. As does a killer 70's disco set. :walkman:

I loop the "music make me lose control" and start it off really slow (keylocked of course). Black the room out by the way. Gradually move it up to normal tempo, release loop, then kick on the strobes.
