How many gigs you have in a year?

Hi!
So,because im from wery small country this is my question.
How many gigs you guys and girls have in a year?I have about 130-150 gigs in a year and my record was 175 but in that year i was working at our small coast thru all summer(60 days).
So, i realy like to know how the things work in US or Canada.

marco..i try for at least one gig a week..i insure gigs by promoting my own events,also...i have a singles dance every 2 weeks, college overnight parties almost weekly plus the requested bookings for weddings and such...when I"M not the dj, i'll rent out my system and act as the tech(to insure they don't abuse the system)this has been very profitable with the college raves...most of their desired djs don't own their systems, they rent..i just price my system $50 less(between $350-$500) plus they get my lights and me as the tech..

Guys - if you are referring to mobile gigs, this thread is in the wrong forum. It belongs in the BIG SHOW forum. Otherwise, if you are talking about BAR GIGS, then it's in the correct forum.

Yes i do most of my gigs in bars and clubs-80%.Other 20% i do fashion shows,partys for companies etc.
I give you an example what i do:Bar owner or clubmanager hier me for 3months or more for the wekeends.So what i do from monday-thuresday is my thing.
I dont work for tips i make a contract with fix price per night.Price depends on how big is the bar or club.I set the price betwen 150 and 200 euros(200-300 USD) without my gear(speakers...).If the bar is small one i make the price with my setup 200euros(300USD).

I have 2 club residencies (Friday & Saturday Night) plus I do a lot of till in work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Also do about 2 frat socials a month at clubs. I stay busy!

I try to do 5-8 mobile events a month. I would love to do more so I may have to go after that Friday wedding market.

In my part time efforts and starting a new business in a new country
I did around 30 gigs last yr. and around 25 this yr. Next yr it will atleast double. With my future plans of huge marketing efforts I should easily surpass that moderate estimate.

Between Bar and Moblie I DJ 300+ days a year

This year I did 42 private events, and 2 charity events. If I never do another bar/pub/club, it will be too soon, but it's nice to know that I could, if I had to!

I have tomorow my 160 and 8 more to the end of the year.Hmm 168gigs-not bad i thing.

Personally, I do 6-7 nights a week...Sunday thru Friday in bars, Saturdays for private gigs and weddings. If I dont book a private gig, I take the Saturday off. Been gigging since 99 (started part time 2 nights a week) and now working on hitting show #2400 next month.

In 2007 i was doing Bar gigs only at weekend aprox.100-108 gigs.Other gigs was at most company events and fashion shows.So for the first time that Im a professional Dj in my life i was giging more than a half non Bar gigs(thanx god)!
So if I incrise non Bar gigs for about 20% in 2008 I will leave Bars!
Bar gigs are OK but i simply dont hawe nerves any more to do it any more and i hope to leave Bars till end of April or May.
