Papa Deuce 12-02-2007, 01:06 PM What I really need is a blog, I think.... so people can leave comments on the site I want, but so far, the blog sites I have visited to see if it will work for me, do not have a working "reverse order" feature or mod. I need to see oldest posts first, since I am telling a story, of sorts.
Basically it is meant to be a motivational site about my heart attack, and I would love feedback from people who read it.
MADNESS 12-02-2007, 01:16 PM yep, The site I use Freewbs has a blog section where it can be set up for you. You can pay 4.75 a month or use it a free site, but you get their ads on it.
Papa Deuce 12-02-2007, 01:26 PM Right, but doesn't a blog require blogging software supplied by the blogging site? I REALLY need to be able to post and keep stuff in reverse order.... so far I can't find that.
MADNESS 12-02-2007, 01:29 PM Let me check out my site and see what they have. I do not know alot about blogs, but it does have a blog feature.
Request Line Productions 12-02-2007, 01:45 PM Lots of good resources here:

See, I need the opposite. ( for the posts I make )
MADNESS 12-02-2007, 02:05 PM OK I am not sure what you mean reverse order, from 1st post to last or last 1st?

MY oldest post need to appear 1st.
PeteT 12-02-2007, 02:55 PM I think you can do that in Drupal or Joomla.
It's free, but just might be more then you need.

I think you can manipulate it to put the posts in any order you want. I know its not a true blog but it might serve the purpose
Travis B 12-02-2007, 03:16 PM You might need a custom solution here, something like word press or some content management system with a specially designed skin to match your business.

Wordpress has something called "adhesive", but on their forums, I read that it rarely works.
Travis B 12-02-2007, 04:13 PM what about something like a PHP-Nuke site or xoops.
Papa Deuce 12-02-2007, 04:47 PM what about something like a PHP-Nuke site or xoops.
LOL, not only do I not know what that is, but it sounds like you need to have a clue..... and I am absolutely clueless. It would be hard to know less than I do.
toqer 12-02-2007, 06:41 PM Stay away from phpnuke, it's riddled with security holes. Look up joomla or drupal.
Proformance 12-26-2007, 01:35 PM You might just want to create a "support forum" with something as simple as Dreamweaver or Frontpage (now MS Expression). Both contain "wizards" you can use to spring up a site of this type quite quickly.
You can manage or edit the content as you would like, and like a chat room thread - postings by others would appear consecutively running from oldest to latest.
While tis is a very simplistic apporach, and subject to easy abuse by "spam" posters, - it sounds like somethiing personal enough that you can easily manage.
Find an old copy of Frontpage 2002 or 2003 and within an hour you could have a site ready to be uploaded to your host.
