Okay, yes, I'm being lazy but does anybody have a playlist(s) that they've used for a daddy-daughter dance? I have one coming up Friday night and honestly I'm kinda scratching my head on what to play. FYI, this is a freebie I'm doing for the local school. It's a rural community and they've never had anything like this before. I want to make it a good experience and hopefully without playing anything offensive. Thanks in advance.

Okay, I found several online as well as some good daddy-daughter lists on spotify. Main thing, not having done any of these, I was wondering if the little girls would be wanting actual dance (hip-hop) material or not. It looks like these are low-key, slow-music (for the most part) events. If any of you have advice, feel free to share.

The last few Father- Daughter dances
I was the Dj I asked my granddaughter to come over and help with my music selection.
Yes, there are some advantages for being
on this earth for many years. LOL

are you talking slow songs? As far as the dancing portion itself, just play good music like any other event. No need to force daddy daughter specific songs at the risk of alienating the dancefloor. Treat it like a Sweet 16 or 8th grade dance. If the girls dance, dad will join them. Keep the songs familiar... maybe drop in a few songs that are geared towards the dads, but keep in mind most of these dad's are 80's and 90's babies meaning they're more in line with what their daughters listen to than you realize. 2000's anthems like Yeah or get low or fergalicious or danza kuduro, pitbull etc will be familiar to all.

I dunno. Taylor Swift obviously is a big name. This is a freebie event (promotion) for me, but more importantly, I want to provide something that benefits this local community. In googling these types of events it does appear that it'll be a more laid back type event and not as much dance material. I'm looking forward to it.

Maybe 2-3 slow songs depending on how long the event it. The other times it will just be all the girls running around and dancing with each other while the dads hang out and watch. Party in the USA, Gimme gimme Gimme, uptown funk, cupid, cha cha, def Taylor Swift.

I wanted to report back that this event was a huge success. Ended up with around 130 elementary-age girls and about 90 dads. My place was packed. It was one of those nights where the kids would start screaming the lyrics and would drown out the sound system at times. Lots of energy.

If the kids are drown out the sound system you might consider buying some real professional DJ equipment and not that fake stuff you're using. Just kidding.
