I need some type of wireless system that I can plug into a laptop computer and send back to my dj setup. Does anybody of any suggestions? Thanks for any help!!!

Travis,

My friend has a dvd slide show that he has on this laptop computer. If I'm close enough I just can run a hard wire to the laptop into my system. Last week I was up in a balcony and was down stairs. I need some type of wireless device that will send the audio from the laptop to my speakers.

Okay, Ruben, to better assist you, what is the distance your looking at streaming your audio... Have you considered using an audio bug, something that plugs into the 1/4" of a guitar, or a lavaliere that has a 1/8" input. Then having it go to the base station. There are plenty of good brands out there if you wish, for instance AKG, samson, and then my favorite, shure. Short distances 25-50 can use a VHF system no problem, no interference, but anything longer will require a larger antennae and a UHF system, in that case I'd recommend shure, their products seems to carry a lot longer without any static issues on their "diversity" systems.

If it is a short distance, I'd just simply drop down a XLR or xyz cord from there to your station, i'd save you in the long run money wise. We have dropped cables down the side of the balony with an audio/video snake. Tape it down, and nobody said a word. We did a two camera shoot one in the back and one on the balcony.

Hope it helps :)

I just purchased a Logitech wireless audio setup, where the transmitter is a usb type, and has a reciever with rca outs. So far I have only played with it a bit at home, and it seems to work ok. I was playing music off www.pandora.com and sending the signal from my pc in the house to my JVC Kaboom box in the garage the other night. I havent tried it with my mixer/dj setup, but I would imagine it would work. I dont know the model or exact name of the setup but it was on www.woot.com about 2 weeks ago for $40.
