I did a NYE event at a private golf course called Silverado in Napa. It's the 4th time in 6 years that I have done this event. It cost's $300 per couple. For that they get fancy hors d'oeuvres free beer or wine and four hours of music from me with a ball drop and glass of champagne at midnight...

I get nervous before every gig,,, and I've done a lot lol,,, why? Because in my years I have had events go sideways no matter how much planning or experience I have. It just happens but it is also what pushes me to do my best.... Nerves, butterflies, excitement, worries, whatever you want to...

I was at NAMM for my 1st time... I had no idea how huge it was! I missed seeing people because my plan was just to "run into" peeps like I do at a DJ Convention. How wrong was I? lol That and all the golf I had planned which again, was a mistake now that I know what I know.... But honestly...

I bought a Jackery last year (2023) and love mine. I rarely got a call for one but now that I have it I use it all the time with my ceremony systems. It fits right under my X-Stand and I never worrie about running power. I use battery speakers,,,, bamm, done, love it.

I di an evbent awhile back that had this, maybe not this brand, but the same thing... it was a kick in the butt! Added fun and silliness at a time when it could just be boring.

As has been said a Shure SM 58 will never get complaints from anyone. Yes there are other mics out there but unless you have a singer that requests a certain mic, and you are making more than enough money for that show to justify it, a 58 is all you will ever need in a "corded" mic.
