Happy Holidays to all. I have 2 more holiday parties and a wedding left and then I get a month off!!! I can't wait!

Great party on Saturday night. Got to break out my new ADJ DJ Spot 300s. Very cool lights with rotating gobos. I paired them with my DJ Spot 250s. Great show.

Here are some pics...Enjoy!

Command central. I really didn't want to set so much up, but I was having a hard time with the video on my main rig for some reason and my middle computer was karaoke. It didn't like running the lights and karaoke, so the right computer did lights.

My new karaoke monitor stand I made. It's a piece of 5ft IBeam set on a 2x2 base on top of 2 1" pipe flanges with pipe inside.

Kevin,

Once again,All i can say is......WOW.

You have a knack for building really functional, clean looking things for your rig!

My kudos to you....

Keep this up, and you will have to write a book like Tyrones DMX book,

Except the title could be, "Keeping it clean, and simple, stupid" By K Nichols
:sqwink:

Very nice!!! Congrats on the creativity.

Kevin I love your setups...would you mind running down what is in your "command center"? Thanks.

Let me try. I may not know what all the model numbers are.

On the left is my main computer rig. I was having some issues with video on it, so I ran it audio only. PCDJ, DAC 2, Sennheiser wireless mic, Numark 200USB mixer, but with a Gigaport soundcard. I can't pull enough gain out of the USB part of the mixer. The next box is a Behringer 12 ch. mixer that a buddy gave me. I'm running PCDJ KJ out of that laptop, along with a DAC2 and a Soundblaster PCMCIA sound card. Both rigs are running MyBook 500 gig HDs. I'm also running the main rig thru this mixer. 2 wireless mics as well. Gemini and Nady. I don't use good mics for karaoke.

To the right is an older laptop running my lighting software. Freestyler.

Hope that helped!

I was using a Numark 200 and started getting noise after about 3 years. I got the USB version for a good price. I might just be doing something wrong. I haven't had time to trouble shoot it. I have to run it wide open on the gain and the gigaport is at about 10 oclock. I do have to say I like having the back up if needed.

Thanks.
I was just considering the Numark 200USB mixer, based on your experience should I just use external sound cards and feed into a non-usb mixer?

Hi,
I usually just kinda lurk around in the background...but my $.02...

I've been using the Numark 200USB since it came out...1 1/2 - 2 years...I guess...no problems at all!

The CM200USB doesn't work well with PCDJ. My friend bought his system all new last March and was going great (he bought a nice sys, with qsc speaks and new laptops and all) until his computer w/ pcdj and the cm200 wouldn't integrate. In all honesty, you're probably better spending the money on a higher quality mixer like the Denon DNX-500 and a nice soundcard or a unit from PCDJ like the new USB headphone software.

Correction - PCDJ doen't work well with the Numark - it doesn't see 2 soundcards; Vitual DJ does.

I've had the CM200usb almost 2 years with zero issues...The 2 usb cards I use with my back up laptop..

Kevin I don't get your post; you have the gigaport plugged into your mixer?

If your levels are low check you settings on the laptop (Control panel - Audio)......make sure each "channel " is at or near maximum.....
