What software do you use?

we use Serato all the way around, it can be a little pricey though so im thinking about letting some of the rookies start out on something else.

Try Rockit. The owner lives here.
I am a Serato lover myself, but I decided to stick to the cd format for my cdj's and will be adding a Denon 2500 for the back up stuff.
If I went didgital I would use Rockit and a good controller.

VDJ and CD's never lose practice with CD's and good old LP's on the turntables.

im probably selling my 2500 to ric. but i had put the serato time code tone on my hd2500 and could run serato as a box system with controller. it worked good and again provided a redundant back up

VDJ 5.07 user here.I like it because its simple, but i like a lot of programs but this is easyest to use.

BTW-Dont sell the Denon.If you like it you will be buying a new one in a month.

VDJ for music videos, slide shows, ambient video presentations, promotion and Game Show Q&A, and standard audio;
BPM Studio Profi for specialized audio applications, fabulous audio auto-mix features, dual window individual play lists (sure wish VDJ would consider this) and/or quad source mixing.

By using the GigaPortAG with the ASIO drivers allowing four stereo outputs to a mixer (channel 1=VDJ Player A, channel 2=VDJ Player B, channel 3=BPM Player A, channel 4=BPM Player B), both applications can run simultaneously allowing not only to mix within each software program but between software programs as well. The ability to mix between FOUR inputs has potential results a dual-turn table (real or simulated) jock can only have wet dreams about. :sqlaugh:

I try out also the Ableton Live 6.0.Its a bit more complicated but you can make Remixes on the fly.I think it can play 128 tracks,loops...at once if youre computer can do that.
Dj Tiesto,Sash,BT and many else use this program at gigs.

OtsAV since 2003, baby! Great sound, great mixing (both radio-style and beat mixing), great search mechanism, exemplary stability.

It also does karaoke and videos, but I do neither.

Virtual D.J. 5.0.7

I'm old school and want an actual manual, so I wasted a bunch of ink and printed the pdf book. And like a real man, I've never read the thing.
