wow... i'm so excited.... (read loads of sarcasm) :sqwink:

:sqbiggrin:That is what I use but I am switching to Serato Itch soon because it has more bells and whistles and has more capabilities too.

I didn't post this because I was excited, rather I find it odd that they are going backwards and selling an old software.

I guess the economy - or lack thereof - has hit them also.

BTW, I was for years a totally happy 5.2 user. Now it's RockIt for me!

Now that thar is funny, I don't care who you are... :sqlaugh:

Sell yer old product, and offer no support -- times must be mighty hard in Florida :sqeek:

Ya can't help but wonder, if they lost money on PCDJ VJ, since it is really VDJ, but not up to date, or with all the bells and whistles...

Actually, I think I know why they're doing this, but it would not behoove me to mention on a public forum.

They're gonna ask for a bailout :D:D:D:D:D:D "We're doing so bad we need to sell out old product without any kind of support" :D:D:D:D:D

Been using the original PCDJ/KJ Red all along for karaoke when I use the silly machine.

Always worked quite well and fills all of my needs. I would recommend it to anyone who is just switching over to PC ( for some silly reason...:sqwink::sqlaugh:). Easy to use and steady as a rock. I should mention that I'm an XP user, and have no idea how well it does in Vomit...er...Vista.

Are they saying that "Red" is their best product and the rest of the PCDJ line is inferior?

Do they mean it never freezes or go down?

I still own a copy of pcdj fx with karaoke plug in. I bought it for the pre-release price of $249. I've never used it at a gig. it would routinely crash my computer. Support would just say it must be my computer, but OTS and S-D ran together perfectly at the same time on same computer.

I don't think i would buy any software that doesn't come with any support.

I've been using Red for a few years now. Partly because I don't know any better and partly because I'm a simple guy. I like to just push play. When I upgrade to a new laptop I will give Rock It a much closer look.:sqwink:

The PCDJ Red, Blue, & Silver software was indeed a great from them. However, the company had overgone many management changes and a slew of different programmers. The original program was ROCK SOLID, I personally met the original design team, they are what made PCDJ Red good, and subsequent versions lacking (different programming crew for later versions)

Interestingly enough, PCDJ was one of the main reasons Rockit was born.

When my back could no longer tolerate carrying cases of CDs, I originally tried their software, and didn't like it -- so I wrote my own (there was not much available at the time) :)

Had no intention of selling it -- but a few other DJs saw it, and wanted copies.

The rest is history...

Imagine what would have happened if you Bedazzled your own boxer shorts.:sqerr:

I'm going to take a closer look.

At the program that is.

[sarcasm on]

bloody hell and to think we could all have had free copies if rick wasnt selling it

[/sarcasm off]

:)

This just magically appeared -- don't know who would have done such a hokey skin :sqwink:  :sqlaugh:
