I only paid for the pair. The circuit boards loved to fry on those. They were all warrenty repair.
Sometimes I wonder just HOW guys are running their gear?
I've had Mackies for 8 yrs and have NEVER had a problem. (I am moving up to EV) but they have served me well.
How did you toast 8 of them?
What kind of gigs are you doing?
Maybe you are pushing them way too far?
I never had a problem with mine until i ran them way past their limit, stupid of me, but i knew better, and what could happen and then...it did.
As thunder and many folks here know I have been in the market for sound and had a specific need due to health and my general requirements. I used many different setups over the past two yrs in search of what works best for me and the most bang for the buck. I selected Dynacord with all the elements in the equation. I chose by design, durability, size, sound and many other areas etc etc. I have given greqat revues on several units some less than what I chose and they were the best choices in their range in my opinion. I hail the Dynacords cause they have proven to be the best for all my needs. Mileage may vary. I made many favorable posts about the Bose system. A few things didnt work for me so I moved on. Had I not found the Dynacord through Ben I would have been a yr old owner of the Bose. The RCF stuff had me teetering though and I didnt pull trigger on the Bose. Once I reviewed the Dynacord systems saw the insides and out I had no choice but to pick this system which works incredible for me. Several folks have tried my Kool Aid and agree its flavor is greater than Whine! I will go with German quality engineering over Chinese gear any day.
I am STILL running my EV SH1512ER's with the same Carver Amp I bought almost 20years ago. I paid big bucks back then, but it's all paid for itself many times over in trouble free service. I have NEVER replaced any parts in all this time.
