OK, I see my last technically informational post was deleted. So I'll just mention that if anyone wants to dump their "useless" mics, send them to me.

I find it surprising that the post was deleted. It was factual, with a smattering of common sense. I ws never even informed. New for this forum.

Missed yer last post Joe, in fact, I haven't been really following this thread.

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is -- wireless mics don't have enough power to interfere with much, and unless yer outside next to a broadcast antenna, they probably won't bother you either...

Unless the minor technicality of being illegal bothers ya ( like I really wear a seat belt all the time, and have never turned on my jammers ;) ) -- no biggie IMHO :)

It's not that they wont work but more like, will there be interferance whe I turn them on. It's not like the FCC has put a block on the frequencies and they wont transmit and recieve like some sci-fi thriller movie.... it's just simply that other more powerful transmitters may be on those frequencies soon if they aren't already.

If you are unsure carry some wired mics just to be sure you can continue your show without disruption if their should be a problem using wireless.

Has anyone here actually experienced this problem as yet?
I haven't!

Multi or single channel mic, and what interfered with you? Was it an EMS quickie, or is there a new permanent station in your area?

Multi, and that was 2 months BEFORE the switchover. All my clients made the switch at least 2 weeks in advance of the switchover. But now some of them are having an issue now that the last minute stragglers are switching over.

If I understand you correctly, ALL channels of your Multi are used full time by major transmitters? TV? Radio?
