A couple of years ago I played "Your Song" off Garth's live album for a M/S dance.

Rock And Roll All Nite - KISS

It's more "lively" than the studio version....:D

Only if I have to, the majority of live versions screw up the the continuity of the show

I agree with Steve. The live versions have all that whisling and applause. Sometimes the live versions are the only ones you can find. Then you have to que it past the BS at the beginning.

Sweet Caroline live video is awesome.
Many of the tracks I play are live.
You cue around the applause and it works fine.
KC's Boogie Blast video has more live energy than most can resist with the live dancers and 50x30 lit dance floor at the foot of the stage.
ACDC is another live video that is killer with guests.

Just what I was going to say. When doing music video shows sometimes Live Versions are all you can get your hands on when it comes to videos

Barry Manilow
Journey
Bob Marley
Jimmy Buffett

These are live concert footage DVD's I play. I then have the occasional Highway To Hell and a few other live version videos as well.

As for regualr songs I don't believe I play anything live.

no thanks - if I wanted to have live versions of songs I would have to hire the talent as having people screaming in the background is not on

Studio versions are far better
