during Christmas we had em for around that and I scooped one up and freshly loaded for my next gig.
 
only thing I didnt like is that it doesnt have an on off switch like the older model 500 gig units but are a bit more streamlined.
 
I have been upgrading to the 2 TB MyBooks in my mobile cube to save space and I have quite a few 1 TB drives (including for back up).

I'd be willing to give somebody a deal better than the $90 for my 1 TB drives that were only used for back up since I'm trying to make everything "mirror" identical to my mobile rig.

I am NOT offering to sell my content. Oh H*LL NO! I have spent a considerable amount of my life earnings on my music and videos. I would do a series of three low level formats before shipping the drive out to anybody.

wait till the Solid State Hard drives are available to use

why can't you run more than two external hard drives at the same time. I have a Dynex powered USB hub that provides up to 500 Ma per USB port and the Hard drives only utilize 2 Ma from the hub to run data. I use three hard drives through my USB hub without any problems.

DJ Dennis, I think it will be a Lonnnnng time before 2 TB solid state hard drives are affordable.

you be supprised whats aready out now

- flash drives that are 128GB
- flash drives that are 256GB

plus they are making bigger ones real soon

remember the price of dvd drives had dropped as soon as the blu-ray came out
the dvds are dropping as well

now the new ipads been released, there is a lot more exciting things still to come
you havent see anything yet!


by the way USB 3 has been released and that should made transfers from external HDDs faster
but are only available via a usb card for now
