You know that kinda raises a question.... it seems that Kid Rock has gone from Rock/Rap to nearly what???? Rock/Rap/Country

How do you classify his music?

Awesome.

It's a pretty cool video. The parts on the beach were filmed at Miner's Beach in Munising, Michigan. Absolutely gorgeous spot and I was pretty excited to see it in a music video.

We spent a week there this summer.
This one's from 2006

It's good to be back.

Yep, I'm used to it. Gonna get tire tracks tattooed on my back since I'm always getting thrown under the bus. LOL!

Hey Jay

Atleast its only the Short Bus!:triwink:

Just listened to the entire "Born Free" CD last night.

Except for one or two tracks, it is excellent - blues, country and rock.

Am I the only one who's wondering why a dj would pay $3.99 for an album when he may ever need to buy two singles from it - if that - at $0.99/ea. if those tracks aren't already included in his subscription services? :tritongue:

Aww Justin,
Silly question!! Do you buy music for your own use that you never play at a gig? I preview Kid Rocks stuff ahead of time like any of my favorites as well as up and comers who may have three or four current hits. I purchase the album for me or determine the album to be Golden first song to the last one or at minimum 4 or 5 hit potential. This happens quite rare but my favorite artists more frequent.

I can only speak for myself, but I buy music all the time that I won't use at an event but I WILL listen to on my Zune.

If a few tracks I think will work at any event, they get added to my DJ collection.

I am addicted to music - listening to it, looking for it and discovering older stuff I never knew about - much of I hear about on these very forums.

I'm not thinking about it as a DJ needing music. This is the first time I can remember ever seeing a major-level artist releasing a new project at $3.99. Just wondering out loud if this might be a trend starting.

It's not a new trend -- Amazon has been doing it for a couple years now :)

They will generally release a new album in download format for a few bucks for a day to a week or two, to generate interest. Like Goo, I get the notifications from them as well, when they are having these specials.
