I say tar and feather the owner. It's nice to hear that wedding vendors are helping them out and giving us legit caring businesses a good rep.

However...how can you allow one person to pick out your DJ, Photog, and Videog? Whose to say they just book the cheapest and 1st available vendor. They, as any other business, have to factor in profit margins.
How will the vendors know what the B&G really want with out a personal consultation.

Thanks for sharing... good info to use for my consultations

Let this be a lesson for those who insist on hiring CHEAP DJ's, Photogs and Videographers. What the heck goes through their minds one wonders?

A decent professional DJ in the Capitol Region of New York, is gonna cost every dime of $1200. Photographers packages start at $2500 and up. Video costs at least $1200. $4900 for the whole package is a bargain. $3000 is too good to be true!

The old adage proves true once again...."If it's too good a deal to to be true....it's not true!"

The blame is not on the Engaged Couple. There is nothing wrong with someone hiring a professional to take care of all the details for you. The individual vendors are not at fault, it is the Wedding Coordinator Company who is to blame.
The couple may not have known that $3,000.00 for everything was a Cheap Price. Lots of folks don't know the true market rate of DJs etc. Thanks to the wannabes and hobbyists out there, it is difficult to differentiate the good ones from the bad ones just by looking. They have to experience it themselves and by that time the damage may already have been done.

not correct in all cases Steve, the fact is if you are going to be scammed or ripped off price is not a factor.i've seen couples ripped off by dj's and bands costing up to $6000 for a afternoon.i know because i was a guest at a few of these events.when you do business its a risk and research has to be done properly.

Steve - That's been my mantra for years, and especially when it came to this company... If you're getting quotes, and one company comes in 30%, 40% or even 50% lower than everyone else, then you may have to consider "why the difference..."

Wedding Combo?...more like "Wedding Pimp"

I always recommend to others to avoid these type of operations, many of them subcontract gigs out to rookies or wannabe vendors at a lowball rate & then pocket the difference.

I think it comes from people putting too much faith in those 'reviews'.

Hiring a company that is simply going to sub it out to someone else is always going to be a recipe for disaster because that company will not be able to control the quality.
