It's not the message or the messenger. It's the way the message is conveyed.
Just a thought, but I think it has more to do as to how it's perceived, and knowledge of the messenger's ways of conveying...
For example, I could convey the same message as follows:
a) Sarge, yer full of sh_t!
b) Sarge, are you sure you know that to be true, and are you willing to stand behind it?
For some (like me and Rox, and a few others) -- a works fine. We don't give a hoot, and we don't take this sh_t to bed with us.
For others, they require b, because they have not progressed enough, that they can read between the lines, and enjoy a good barb. They usually take it to bed with them, and wake up harboring bad thoughts about us in the morning.
If you don't take the time to learn about the messenger, and the way they convey their messages -- then you have no reason to bitch, when you can't understand what they are trying to say...
Just sayin', y'know...
And just to add to this, which is better?
You are on a blind date and your date is less than ascetically pleasing. Would it be better to say:
1. Damn, your face is ugly enough to stop a clock
- OR -
2. Baby, when I am with you, time stands still...
Just hand her the paper bag, and tell her to assume the position...

Regulars in fighting amongst regulars is just silly.
BTW, didn't we already derail this thread a couple pages ago... yorofl:
Some call it silly, some call it entertainment...

It would be best to simply make no comment...unless and only after she specifically asked or requested my opinion or advice on that subject. And just to add to this, which is better?

Those that think they can "interpret" the character of others based on false "interpretations" gleaned from posts in a forum don't seem to realize how foolish and annoying they appear. Those that think they are cool and hip with their responses don't seem to realize how condescending and annoying they appear. In person may be one thing because you can see the facial expressions to better judge the response or comment, but most of us are not masters of the English language when it comes to the written word and our true intention might not come across the way we intend.
Touche'I think we should take the "R" away from DJRox & make it "COCKY DJox"
