Hiding Tripod Legs.

Why are you wearing your speakers like Headphones and where are the subs? If there are subs and if they are hidden under the table then............nahhhhh I won't say it! ;)

Stuck in a corner on the dance floor at venue, no subs.
This would be a normal setup for any function less than 150 people.

We are djs. No One has ever said to me in 18 years " you have ugly speaker stands". If you want to hide them get bigger subs in front of them, pole cup mount them, fly them or do what works for you. Thumbs down for me on the scrims. Just my thoughts. I do hate speaker stands though too but they are reality for us.

I have been sharing that same sentiment for years on this Forum. Nobody says one should not be tidy with their setup but some chaps will go and setup behind a wall just to be hidden or as some say, "to have a small footprint!". I always use the analogy of Bands, they have wires, cables, stands etc all over the place and nobody cares.

However, with all respect to the Wedding DJs and Venues, nobody wants to create a glaring mess in a nicely decorated place. Ones's setup needs to be able to "blend" in but those tripod covers just don't do it. They make the setup more conspicuous.

Facing the wall or away from the wall? Appear to be away from the wall. Would it have sounded better facing the wall? Just asking.

You guys know I'm just trying to get a rise out of you.LMAO.Most dj's that don't like SCRIMS
probably have their stuff in gray rat fur boxes and sit down all night.LOL!!!:triwink:

That is lol, funny!

I too think they look terrible. Absolutely hate the look. It draws attention to the stands, not away from them. I feel the same way about light-up facades at weddings. School dances are another thing, but weddings? No way. It screams 'Look at me! Look at me!'

I wonder why DJs think their stands are ugly, but not their speakers? Why not scrim-cover them too? They are just as ugly as your stands.

I'd much rather keep it simple and understated like this. YMMV.

Wes, not to question whether what you're doing is correct or not but.....why don't you hide the sub under the table? Very nice looking setup by the way. kudos.

Personal preference with acoustics and bass frequencies. We almost never fire our subs into a wall. We fire them into the room, But as long as you leave a couple inches between the subs and the wall you technically could shoot it that way. When you have good subwoofers it doesn't really matter where you aim them ;)

All my processing gear and tool box and other misc items I need available to me are under there. No room for the sub.
They are fine just where they are. No need to hide them and have the sound muffled by non acoustic material.

I am getting ready to place an order for some tripod stand hiders.Anybody need anything?

Scrim me baby ..

Heres a clever way to cover them if your gonna light up the facade you may as well light up the speakers full boat!:eek::eek:
Oh sure you wont consider my solution?

Those are some of my Tour X subs that i put against the wall there. A Dual 18 and 2 single 18's.

Nice man....YOu like the Tour X subs? I still use EV Eliminator subs. Nice compact sub...but a sub compact sound I think. They are mainly used on their side to get my mains in the air.

If you get the opportunity to upgrade in the near future i highly recommend the Tour X Subs....we use them for all of our midsized events and they are AWESOME. The Dual 18's are my favorite but the single 18's also hold their own. It would be a huge step up from the Eliminators

In a dark room when everyone is dancing no one sees the tripods. Some of my setups need no tripods, my tops on top of my subs gives me all the height that I need.
