How much would you quote a potential client to do this wedding?

Forget Amex .. back in the early 80s our standard corporate card was a Diners Club card. Try finding an establishment, except for a couple of big restaurants, that take that one.

Most places around here accept AMEX. I've had a few gas stations and Chinese joints not accept it.

Come down to Newburg Danno -- your AMEX will be unusable, Debit Mc or Visa are preferred, although cash is always the best option.

You have to deal with the places that you have a working relationship with. I can go up to Haleem's Mini Mart and IED Lab, grab a case of beer, and then then tell him I'll pay tomorrow. And I do.

I also will watch his store when he needs a potty break -- and I have a badge and a gun. Works out well.

No, I am not a sheriff.

I always wanted to be a sheriff -- but the fed gov't took me in different directions.

It's kind of hard to explain, and we don't get paid. We get some bennys, and we watch the rivers, train tracks, and bridges.

That's why I'm back on The Farm.

hehehe

I doubt I would shoot you Steve -- my dog might eat you though... :)

I have a policy here on The Farm -- nobody comes without at least 24 hour notice -- no exceptions. I'm a slob, so I have to clean up a bit (not too much though). It's a farm, so it's not pretty to begin with.

YIKES - it's a good thing I didn't 'drop by' the last time through!

Nobody "drops by" The Farm. It requires notice 24 hours ahead.

The doors are all digitally locked (inside and out), bars on the windows, cameras, alarms on, and dog -- and I sleep with an AK47. Even have a safe room I built.

I'm a half mile or so from gang banger territory. You don't take any chances around here. Industrial zone, so it almost pure black at night.

But I have beer :)

Here's the deal and I'm serious about this. Saturday we did an event where a person came up to us and got a business card. I found out later someone is getting married and that's why they wanted our card. I don't know anything else other then they were looking into how much it would cost to have the reception at the hotel where we were at Saturday and I heard them say they were looking at 200 people to attend this wedding.

Now our plan if we were to get this wedding was to bring the 2 Yamaha powered tops and matching subs. Controller with laptop a light set if they wanted that too. That's all the details I know so far. I don't know when the wedding is to take place or how many hours the reception is to take place. I have a thought in mind of the minimum price I would quote to do this wedding. I'll tell you later what that is. I just wanted to see what others would quote for a price to this potential client?

Details left out there's no chance I'm gonna quote less than $895 for a typical wedding reception (80-300 people). Given the particulars of the date, location and other things you may want included it may be as high as $1895.00 That's not "up sells" - that's just the reality of peak vs off-peak days & months. You pick a date that is sweet for me and I'll cut you a nice break. You pick a date that I know I is filled with other opportunity and I will price in line with those opportunities.

I understand - like I said, glad I didn't "drop by". I know about the area you are in.

:)

Interesting area, so to speak. We're isolated down here by the river. There's no people around, and the cops record of performance, is about 23 minutes response time.

So, you basically have to handle everything by yourself here.

The animals are the key -- they let you know what's happening outside. They convey that to Faith who is inside, and she lets me know. I have no clue how they talk to each other -- but it works.

Next time, we'll have to meet up fer lunch. Not far from you is a nice l'il diner - near the 287 / 84 interchange. There's also a Friday's and some other things there.

Wait till Gully's opens up. I don't go to any of those fancy chain places.

It's a cool place within walking distance -- thats whers I hang during summer/season. It's a cool place -- old barge on the river, that they turned into a bar on the river. And their nachos are fantastic,

One of the best bars I've ever been to.
