I don't shoot Nikon, but this is an awesome price for those that do. A year ago, these were selling for $1000. I would slot it between the 5200 and the 7100, though it is a separate line.

D90 is a very nice unit. We bought one on a year end close out and paid around 1k for it. Believe it or not, that's the camera we have our assistant use. Both Coreen and I are so used to using our individual D80s that we didn't want to make the switch when we bought the 90. The D70 is our "emergency" camera, in case something bad happens or I just want to work with 2 different lenses and I can just switch back and forth between the 2 cameras. Good find, I'll let Coreen know...just in case she wants to get another camera for the arsenal..

Good deal but I like this deal even more... I am partial to Pentax, This dslr runs rings around the D90 and for a bit more you get the second lens.

We're gluttons and bought 2. I tried out the one Coreen bought and had to have one for myself. I think we're done buying cameras for a while... 1/2 dozen should do it..

I see they're up to $799 now .. hope you got them both at the $599 price.

I'm waiting for the next version of the Canon 7d (mkii I would guess). Supposed to be out this year. That will be my next pickup, along with a 28-70mm f2.8 and a replacement for my 70-200 f2.8.
