Just got back from a mitzvah sales meeting. The first event is for March, 2015 and looks like that one will be without the jewish DJ dude and adding my wife in on photography with about 60 kids in attendance. Her friend tagged along and I also got a verbal commitment on that one, but her budget is a lot larger. She wants the jewish DJ, plus 5 dancers, at least 1 photobooth and perhaps my wifey on photog. Got some really good feedback that my name is passing around the Jewish community as the new go-to guy. I'm guessing that was a $6k-$8k meeting. Somebody happy dance wid me............

You'll be changing your name soon to Rick Ryanstein.

The money that gets spent on those events is unbelievable. In about 1990, I was working with a video company at a Bar Mitzah. Rumor had it that they spent $100K back then. The video company I was working for was later bought by NFL Films, so you know they weren't cheap. They brought a band in from Chicago AND had a DJ. And they brought a dance group in from Israel.
