I'm running it at this time with both audio and video and I'm very pleased. The sound engine really shines.

I liked the sound so much I went down stairs and plugged a single pair of folded horns and a pair of dually 15"'s and hooked up a QSC PLX2 3602 and dusted off an old cruise ship anchor (RMX4050HD) and bridged it for the CV's, couldn't be happier.

As a long time VDJ user I have been waiting for this upgrade.

First impressions.
Like most new software it has gotten very flat in appearance.
Now to the good stuff.
Plug and play is even better. All my sound cards including my controllers show up in config and are available to use.
Interface has gotten better and more options are available in the default interface including a tablet/touch friendly skin built in.
Parts of the interface can be windowed making it easy to do more creative stuff. if you have the screen size use it to your advantage. Scaling is also easier now without things looking stretched or distorted.
The best part is the sound (its all about the sound in our business). It is in a word better. scratching sound sounds much more real.
The effects are so much better and the much used beat grid is cleaner sounding.

After many hours of testing with audio and video I have had no crashes or problems. I have downloaded and printed both the manual (119 pages) and quick start guide (12 pages). While the timeline feature has been dropped as a single components, it been spread out and has made things simpler in editing some stuff. I mix by ear and don't need to preview the mix "live" but it sure has some great bells and whistles.

It's just the way I started ;) I honestly hate to dance, but really enjoy blending things together and seeing people having fun. I'll tell you the funny thing while testing with the dually 15"'s and the CV's I cranked it and my GF quickly ran downstairs and gave me a lecture about my recovering right eye and vibration. Fortunately it's not a problem anymore and just a little bit more time for final results.

SVO i will be cranking my Vegas this weekend with VDJ at the helm. I call this my spring speaker massage where I take the system for a full blown run. All my subs and tops get a workout with some reggae soca funk r&b and other bass friendly flair and my favorite is Time Warp by Telarc! The beginning of track #5 shakes you the core.
