NEW 60 Watt LED Moving Head for $172.99 OBO on Ebay

I've got a set of these Chinese fixtures, and one of the 2 can't hold its head up. Once passed the balance point, its too heavy, and drops. Just one failure among all of you guy's cheap lights I know, but sometimes you really do get what you paid for. Plan to take it apart eventually, and see...

    All In One Light Show

I'd recommend a couple of these personally. View: https://youtu.be/LiAjY3QsNWo?t=1m30s Blizzard Snowbank Smaller/more compact, great effect with 8 tri color LED segments, and pole mountable.

How would you like this speaker setup for your inventory?

Looks like more work than I'm ever willing to tackle. My setup is plenty. Oh, and I no longer carry speakers. ;)

    DMX Freestyler DMX/X2 help.

Looking for experienced Freestyler Operator to assist in my re-configure operation of my Light setup. I have my fixtures set up, and available in Magic 3D view. I have several sequences configured for my lighting that consists of 2-novascan-250-1 scanners(6ch), 2-Chauvet ColorPallets(27 ch...

    DMX DMX Software Thread

Honestly, I don't know that it can, but then in my case, not having communication with the Playback software to get the track info, and also setting up scenes for every track in my library, it doesn't seem to be a feasible option anyhow. I can handle manually operating what scene and when live.

    DMX DMX Software Thread

My original experience with DMX was with Martin LightJockey software, I ran that until Windows went with x64 software in windows Vista, Had it working maybe 5-6 years. I wasn't ready to spend another grand on it's replacement from them, so that is when I switched to Freestyler DMX. I've been...

    DMX DMX Hardware Thread

I understand the DMX part for the most part. I also have no problem setting up sequences in software, and creating cues. I'm currently working on improving my cue lists, understanding sub-cues, and assigning cues to buttons on my Launchpad MIDI controller. With each Cuelist page being 16...

    DMX Auto Modes/DMX Software Control

I already have a RP2, but it is currently a Kodi Multimedia device in my living room. Now that the Paspberry Pi 3 is out with built in wifi and bluetooth, and a 1.2Ghz processor instead of 900Mhz, I might give it another go. It's only $35 +tax and shipping for one.

    DMX Auto Modes/DMX Software Control

Totally agree! I was looking at using a raspberry Pi with a 7" Touch screen attached running QLC+, but I don't think its ready just yet. I have an old 13" 800x600 LCD display that has serial touchscreen that no longer works, If I got that fixed, it might be something to consider with the Pi...

    DMX Auto Modes/DMX Software Control

I too am a Freestyler user. I was using a Entec compatable DMX interface, but recently moved to a "DMXking ultraDMX Micro USB DMX adapter/dongle" as I was having issues trying to get the old dongle working within Windows 10. I'm somewhat good with programming light sequences and cues, but have...

    DMX Controller Software

I used to run Martin DMX controller until they wouldn't update the driver to run on a 64 bit OS, so when I moved from XP when Vista came out, I went to Freestyler, and have been with it since.

Windows 10 Upgrade Released Today - Beta Testers Opinions, Please?

I am using Samsung and Toshiba SSD drives with all my windows 10 laptops and desktop systems. Haven't had a problem with them other than the Desktop system didn't play well with the samsung, so it has the Toshiba drive. That system was built in 2008 with an i7-920 processor on an ASUS P6T...

Windows 10 Upgrade Released Today - Beta Testers Opinions, Please?

The secret is to do the inplace upgrade first. After the upgrade, Microsoft will have your registration details for that machine registered for you online. After that you can do a clean install, and because your machine is already registered, you won't need the registration codes to activate. I...

Windows 10 Upgrade Released Today - Beta Testers Opinions, Please?

Personally haven't noticed a speed boost with 10, but I do like it. I liked 7, & 8.1 for the most part, but 10 is a great combination of the 2. As mentioned elsewhere, I updated 1 of the 8 machines I have last night, as it was the only machine that indicated it was ready. It took less than 45...

    When did it change

Anyone see Maroon 5's sugar video? Where they see how many weddings they can crash in a day to record the music video? They have roadies come in during the reception, and setup, and in the first reception, it looks like the Brides dad is ready to take action. Causes quite a stir.... Good and...

    DJ Software

OtsAV for it's stability primarily, and ease of use secondarily. As for midi learn, I do wish Ots had it. I've tried to create a MIDI learn capability to map controllers with Ots, but found it nearly impossible with all the various possibilities for each control. Midi controllers are not as...

Lighting Software and DJ Software Conflict Issues Using One Laptop?

That, IMO, is why you need to do thorough testing of your configuration before taking it live. If you are not confident in your system being stable, then yes, you should absolutely not use the configuration on a single machine live. However, the software on seperate machines may not work...

Lighting Software and DJ Software Conflict Issues Using One Laptop?

I used a desktop system running OtsAV and Light Jockey for years. I ran a desknote desktop replacement for backup audio, and opted to go without dmx lighting should the primary system fail. Never happened. Since my Light jockey isn't supported in Win 64 systems due to no 64 bit drivers for the...

    Truss Wiring

I have. I don't leave the wires attached to the stands, but I do to the 2 5' I-beam truss sections. I made a custom harness for both "T" bars and both "I" beams. I set up the truss, hang the lights, plug them in, and drop a power line to the wall, and I'm ready to go. I don't use the T bars, but...

    Video Jocks Video Editing Software

Not free, but I use Adobe premiere, Cyberlink Power Director (64bit, and fast), and Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium. Each has it's positives and negatives. What I can't do in one software, I do in another, and export as necessary to get the job done. Of the 3, I use Power director most.
