All fine for cocktail or dinner. When its time to dance people want to dance to what they know. True every event will have their specialty songs (the last wedding i did they were big into EDM) but overall if you play things folks arent familiar with it wont go well IMO.

I get that but again I point to familiarity, if it's months before anyone knows about it, it really doesn't make sense to play it before you know it's going to be a hit

Satellite Radio plays everything including a lot of stiffs. Personally, I wouldn't base a playlist off of that. As to what works it depends on the type of event. For weddings keep things familiar as people want to dance to songs they know. As to clubs I don't do them but would imagine people...

From a programming ooint of view its very polarizing. People either love it or hate it. Most stations if they are playing it do so at night...

The problem is the weird yelling and barking parts. Unless the crowd really is into it it's just not "danceable" I wouldn't play it unless I had to. The sooner that song goes away the happier I'll be lol

Wrecking ball isnt dancy but may be a sing along if people,are drunk,enough, I'd go with mileys other hit we can't stop. Lordes "royals" is pretty big

Wow is it a $1000 a day? Didn't really delve into the prices. I could see a DJ needing a small system or someone who wants to throw a party. In the end I can't imagine it making an impact on DJ's in the area
