If I'm not mistaken... one of the advantages of powered speakers is that they have clip/blow prevention circuitry built-in. I would say, they should be hard to blow... not impossible... but definitely not easy.

I have used the PCDJ DAC3 and the Denon DNHD 2500 with Virtual DJ. I prefer the Denon because it has its own built-in sound output. If you're not using a dedicated sound card, this is the way to go, IMHO. If you just need "a controller" then you can check out the DAC3. It's good for a...
