Right now I think I want to keep stuff on Picnik or Flickr, but I am opep to just about anything. I use the free Photocbucket service, but I want something that feels a little more elegant when you use it and view photos.

What's yer purpose...?

Is this something you want potential clients to view, or just storage for yourself?

I get somewhat annoyed by most photo sharing sites, and the people that send me there. If it's just for friends and family, that's fine, but not for business purposes. It's lame -- like you don't care enough about the client to actually pay for something...

For business purposes I'd use a php powered one like Gallery 2 or Coppermine. It's layout is controlled by CSS and templates so you can customize it to look how ever you want. For a point of reference, Chuck's bikini gallery is powered by Gallery2 I believe.

For personal stuff I mostly use my Dropbox and email links to individual pictures. For larger albums I Picasa's web albums or Facebook.

Kirby mentioned his nephew having a file sharing service a while back -- I believe it had an integrated photo gallery maybe that's something to check into.

Well it could be for both, but I have paid for the better services of different companies. I just don't really like photobucket pro anymore. I am now considering www.smugmug.com - looks elegant and has all I want / need.

really is this for you or Business ?

for you , you can store them on your own site and use the scripts that is like ODJT site has as well cost you nothing to host on your own site!

Be sure to read the site agreements and make sure you aren't giving up your copyright... seen one site that does just that...
