Looking at ODJT history, Christmas music isn't a favorite topic around here. I'm doing a playlist for dinner music and need suggestions for contemporary artists' versions of Chrismas songs.

I'll start: Whitney Houston-The First Noel, Air Supply-Sleigh Ride, Manhattan Transfer-It Came Upon A Midnight Clear.

For Dinner music I use the following:A GRP Christmas Collection I, II & III

Amazon.com: GRP Christmas Collection 1: Various Artists: Music@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21N1F4HWT3L.@@AMEPARAM@@21N1F4HWT3L

Mannheim Steamroller: The 1990 versions are best.

I really enjoy "Must have been Ol' Santa Claus" by Harry Connick Jr. This one is a little different, but I think most will enjoy it.

I create my own here (as in make my CDs based on the type of Christmas party)

with no breaks and sound drops in between some songs..

so love the drops (will get more done later)

fortunately, almost ANY holiday song will work for dinner music.
in fact, that's usually the only time I play them at a holiday party.

Jingle Bells just doesn't encourage people to dance!

:sqlaugh:

ok grab a hold of a version of Jingle bells done by Barry Manilow
now I can see all you lot thinking he would sound crapo but you should hear his version

its the best upbeat version I have ever heard and works wonders

except my Aussie version :) (posted on other threads)

do you have some financial interest in the Aussie version?
this is the second post where you mentioned it....

:sqlaugh:

ever hear of payola???

(Dennis, please know that I am kidding)
