Hey guys! I have a feeling one of my turntables is broken. Here's the issue: when I stop/start there is a big delay to stop and start. When I press the button sometimes it doesn't even start. I also hear a ticking sound underneath the circle covering. Does it sound like it's broken, or something needs to be tweeked?

Brand and model of turntable you are having problems with.

Not sure what would be clicking on a direct drive TT ... Are you scratching with it or just playing? Given the price tag of the replacement (Stanton T.62 - $199) not sure I would invest any money in trying to fix it.

Also, did you pull off the platter (it should just pull straight up over the spindle)> Maybe something got loose in the start/stop button or speed control board.

Like Steve said they are pretty much disposable if it's not something simple you can fix yourself toss them it will likely cost more than it's worth to repair
