Weddings Wedding Attire?

I've never worn a polo shirt at a wedding reception, but it seems to work well with some DJ companies. I used to wear a tux for every wedding because that was the rule of the agency I was with. Since I've given the choice on my online forms, shirt & tie is the most common request. Suit comes in 2nd, and tux has only been requested once in the last 4 years.

I did one of those redneck weddings wearing a tux once and it was embarrassing being way overdressed. Even a polo shirt would have been overdressed!

I have not worn a tux for almost 2 years now and I don't miss it. I have it so that if our clients want that then no problem. But generally I have my own style which I get tons of compliments on all the time. I dress like no one else but me. I have a black jacket from Vegas. Worn with black slacks, black shoes and a black shirt that has some rhinestones running up the button area at the top and topped off with my blue Topez button tie.

I will look for a pic of the jacket. I have about 5 hard core country weddings this year but with some classy people so I have bought country for those with my wife wearing some misme jeans (hot damn). Obviously the pic of the guy is not me. But the idea of slacks, belt and shirt, with bolo and jacket and boots and belt for our country elegant weddings. No I did not go cheap but our clients are paying us well and this is what they wanted.

I wear whatever is requested.

But if I had a "standard"...it's a tux with a vest...
and the jacket goes away after the formal dances.
Of course, the local rental shop supplies mine free, so who am I to complain?
