Depends on if I'm loadin' lights or not....

If not I can usually get it all in, in 3 trips assuming it's a straight shot and I can use my cart.

Trip 1

Table, facade, misc. cable creates and small items, stands etc.

Trip 2

Bose system

Trip 3

If I can't get my rack in trip one or with the bose then it goes in last.

If I'm toteing my basic lighting then there might be a fourth if I can't bring it in with the rack but it all depends.

Three trips with the platform truck and some walking with the smaller stuff we carry. I'm pushing the platform truck, Shirl is carrying the odd stuff.

If I'm lone wolfing, it's all on me and that makes for more trips. :)

My load in last night was AWESOME! I literally took things out of the trailer, turned around, took 3 steps and set things where they go!

Using my convertible Costco Hand/Flat Truck

Trip #1 - DJ Rack, 2 SRM 450 Speakers, Table & Facade laying on top
Trip #2 - Duratruss inside a wheeled Arriba Bag, Laptop on my shoulder
Trip #3 - 2- DJ Scan 250's, 2- X-Moves, 2- MegaPixel Ligt Bars, Scorpion
Laser, 6 - Chauvet Colorspot Jrs, and the VUE3
Trip #4 - Mackie 1801Z Sub (on wheels), with soft satchel full of all
necessary wiring

My microphones, hard drives, headphones, business cards, and a flashlight are all stored in my Rack.

roadie sets it up for me now so I would have to ask him..

as for when I bring in the music just the trip in is all I need

Good thread.

(using "convert-able" handtruck/dolly)

Trip 1: First run to carry in 6' folding table by hand.
Trip 2: Both powered speakers / stands (together in box)
Trip 3: Rack Case, CD case, Cable bag, wireless mic case - small stuff
Trip 4: Last run to move/park van, take dolly out to van if needed (stuff TYPICALLY goes under my table or utilizing venue storage space if any/convenient), carry in a change of clothes I need to make (if any).

Add another dolly trip if I need to do the small/basic dance light package (t-bar & 3 fixtures).

If I were to do the full 10' truss - Im not even going to guess since I haven't done it in so long:)

My typical

1.) RR12 cart with 2 L1 bases, 4 B1s, microphone box, powercoard bag
2.) rolling my cart with mixer rack, laptop docking bays, hard drives, etc
3.) Bose L1 columns in two SKB cases
4. and 5.) 3 pieces of facade
6.) Lighting bags

Typically....4...sometimes 6 depending on which light show I do.

1 and 2) The speakers
3) Dj cart/computer

If needed:

4) Truss Legs
5) Truss

6) Lock up and park vehicle.

I'm currently extremely lucky cause the venue I gig at every week allows me to store my equipment on site*they also have better insurance* but when it's just me I still need three trips.

1. the dolly with all my cords and equipment except for 3 items
2. The mic/tv stand and two tables
3. speakers

this has also drastically reduced my breakdown time

I'm at 8 trips when doing my weekly Thursday night show.:sqlaugh:

Now when hanging out with Steve and Val?? 20+ and thats just the load in!! 50+ trips back and forth to the semi between the three of us, and thats just speakers...
