In order to treat all members fairly Our DJ Talk has implemented a disciplinary protocol. The protocol has been in place for well over a year and has been explained a few times in various threads, however in the interest of transparency this is official notice of said protocol. Disciplinary actions are handled through infractions which is a part of our forum software that logs all such incidents and automatically moves people to and from user groups based on points assigned to individual infractions.

The disciplinary protocol is in place to prevent members from being unfairly banned and gives rogue members plenty of time understand the community guidelines.

While ODJT's staff members are discussing and deciding whether a particular incident deserves and infraction, an administrator may at his or her discretion place the member(s) involved in a read only user group. This is a group that allows for full viewing of the forums as a member while not allowing the member to start/reply threads, private messages nor emailing through the forums. Read only is a stop gap measure to prevent any further problems and also allows for the member(s) in question to "cool off"

The following possible infractions apply to all members on Our DJ Talk. Infractions require the the staff member handing down an infraction include the reason in a private message which is also copied to an email in the event that said infraction results in a suspension period.

First Infraction:

A simple warning with no suspension period attached.

Second Infraction:

7 Day Suspension.

Third Infraction:

30 Day Suspension.

Fourth Infraction:

Permanent Ban.

Permanently banned members may submit a request to be reconsidered for membership after 90 days. Reinstatement of membership is at the sole discretion of forum staff.
