I agree that any of those could be someone's first dance, or slot in for a parents dance. But where I think weddings need help right now is a crossover pop hit. A song like Uptown Funk is essentially pushing on played out - but there isn't a big hit behind it.

I mean no offense to those older than I am on this board - but there needs to be a pop song that the old people latch onto. Those are the hardest to come up with.

You get some moms and aunt's singing along to "All about that bass" - but most pop or top 40 is either not danceable or not family friendly. We desperately need another Bruno or Justin Timberlake style banger that will pop a dancefloor to life early in a set.

Late night all the 2000s hip hop and pseudo-house Riahanna style tracks still crush. But that early banger is tough to find without getting eye rolls.
