Had one of "those" photographers Saturday

I've met this guy at a couple bridal shows in the past. Always had a face full of metal. Seems to have lost that now. Was dressed ok. Nice slacks, black shirt, good shoes.

One shoulder bag of equipment. During dinner he is walking around to each table placing his card at each setting with one hand and a 16 oz plastic cup of beer in the other.

He did wait until all the guest had been through the buffet before he got any food and sat with some guests to eat. Then the B&G wanted to get started with the First Dance, etc. so I let him know. He looks at me while he is stuffing his face and says, "You would!". He continues to stuff his face for a few more moments before he makes his way up front.

We finish the M/S dance and I inform the guests we will be having the Toast shortly and to make their way to the bar or whatever for something to toast with. Photog asks me to give him a few minutes so he can go outside and get a few pictures with a family member. Turns out the Grooms youngest Nephew was also a Ring Bearer and was too fidgety after the Wedding to get pictures. So at Toast time was perfect.

It seems he also liked to stack his 16 oz cups together as he got another beer. I did count and there were 5 stacked together that I can remember. We still had a few hours to go.

We were doing the Bouquet/Garter later. The B&G decided not to have an age limit for Garter Placement, we would just play it by ear with ages. The Photog took it upon himself to shue away any young kids stating 16 and over only.

After wards we were chatting as I was tearing down. Turns out the B&G only hired him for 4 hours, but he liked the couple so much that he offered to continue taking picture for them that night as long as they fed him and got him drunk.

Now to be honest, he did take a lot of pictures. He did get right into the middle of things and was very active most of the night. He says he sets up a website for his clients, so I'm going to email him to see when these are ready. I gotta see how good a drunk photog is.

Sorry to hear about that...I hope that the formals, at least, came out. We did a wedding back in June - an informal, outdoor wedding at the groom's mother's house. The photographer was a family friend and was drinking all day. Suffice it to say that we took a few more than our usual shots of open dancing and made sure that they were cleaned up well for the bride and groom.

Each person is an Individual and has their own mannerisms and sense of professionalism. There will be clients for each. It could have been that this Photographer was chosen because of price (You get what you pay for) or was recommended by someone else.
Bottom line is, did he deliver what he promised? Did the Client feel like they got their money's worth or more? If the Client is satisfied, then who cares?
