These days I mostly listen to music through Spotify and SiriusXM. Spotify keeps tabs on what you listen to and produces a year end report. I found it interesting. I think this only works for those with Spotify premium accounts. My data goes back to 2017 when I upgraded to premium. Post yours of you have it.

My most listened to artists in 2019 were.

5. Grand Funk Railroad
4. Sly & the Family Stone
3. Steely Dan
2. Souxie & the Banshees
1. Dire Straits

Most listened to artist over the last three years -
5. Talking Heads
4. Bill Withers
3. Three Dog Night
2. Devo
1. Steely Dan

Most listened to song - Spill the Wine - War

I listened to music from 27 countries

Top Genres - Rock, Soft Rock, Soul, Dance Rock, Smooth Jazz

Top "new" artist - Greta Van Fleet (I think this means I hadn't listened to them on Spotify in prior years)

Total listening time 16.5K hours. That is down 10K hours from prior years. I think that is because I used to use Spotify for background music when I worked in an office.

I found my top 100 songs of 2019, but where did you find those stats?

I've only had Premium for a few months ..

Most songs/artists came from either wedding prep or requests. I actually played most of the songs from my library rather than Spotify, but must have grabbed them all to listen through at one point:

Top 5 artists:
1 - Post Malone (probably wedding prep)
2 - Pink Floyd
3 - VioDance (one of the percussion versions evaluated for processional)
4 - Steely Dan
5 - Jackson Browne

6 countries .. I'm more selective I guess

Songs :

1 - A Thousand Years (wedding prep)
2 - Running on Empty
3 - Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits
4 - Summer Breeze - Seals & Crofts (request)
5 - Take the long Way Home - Supertramp

It's strange as I have listened to many a playlist (mostly 70s) in the past month and they don't show up ... ???

BTW .. If you listen to Smooth Jazz, you might run across a friend of mine .. Vincent Ingala. I used to run sound for him a few times when he first started .. even did his 1st CD Release Party. He's a neighbor of mine.

They do have a "Spotify Awards" show...
so that is what they are doing with that info!
